WEDDING DRESS!

Exciting News in the Wedding Planning World! My Wedding Dress is in!

On Friday I got the call from Septembers Bride letting me know that my Wedding Dress had come in, and I could come and try it on when I had time.

So, saturday morning I went with my friend Kaylin and my Mom and I went to try it on.

I LOVE IT! It is so perfect for me, and it is the dress of my dreams!

I wasn't able to try on the sample dress originally, so to be able to actually put it on and see it on myself was amazing!

Now, I just need to have the corset back added in and it will be perfect! :)

In other news, we are now just going to start looking into Florists, because that is the last major thing we have to get done :) I am hoping to get a bunch of smaller things done while I am on Christmas break as well. Hopefully start doing the slideshow, and table numbers, and a flower wreath.... and try to get my centerpieces all figured out :)

Also, while I am on Christmas Break from School I am going to try to get my craftiness on! I want to make some new flower headbands and make some Christmas Stockings maybe?? We shall see!

Christmas is just around the corner! :)

Wedding Decisions Galore!

Once again, it has been quite a while since i have Last posted! Life is just so crazy! Just last week was Thanksgiving, and thankfully I had the whole week off from school! I took that time to instead of do homework, hang out with friends and family... and also do a lot of WEDDING PLANNING!

Yes... my favorite thing! The thing I wish I had way more time for :)

Well.. lets do a quick run through of what I have accomplished so far up until this part..

Church - booked

AND just recently I hired Michelle from Events at Septembers Bride to be my Day of Wedding Coordinator, and she will also be helping me when I am trying to decide on different ideas and will help me with the day of schedule and such. She is so awesome, so I am really excited about hiring her as well! :)

annnd... I am starting to work with my Beautiful Friday Kristen Tamminga, and she is going to be putting together a couple different invitation ideas, so that is rolling now too :)

What I am now working on is officially booking my Cake Place & The DJ!

We ended up meeting with Dance Track DJ's & also Push Play DJ's and both were very nice. I enjoyed meeting with both and it was really hard for me to decide! But after a lot of thinking and weighing numbers and such, we are going to book Dance Track DJ's. I have a really hard saying no to people, so having to send the rejection e-mail kind of stunk. However, I am very excited about finally booking the DJ!

Also, we are booking our Cake Place as well! We went last week Saturday and had a tasting at 2nd Floor Bakery in Holland, and the cake was AMAZING! To Die For.. so so good. Kris and his Mom came along with my Mom and I, and we all loved the cake so much! We showed her a picture of that I am looking at, and I think it is going to be so awesome! Kris is also going to have a groom's cake, which I am stoked about. :)

The next major thing I want to get working on is trying to find a florist, and that is in the works right now! Last night, I did a lot of research on different flowers, and found a couple escort card ideas that I really like so we are trying to work that out as well :)

It has been a very successful last week or 2 :)

Now, I am just trying to survive these last couple weeks of school before Christmas break! I am also starting to really push this weight loss thing. I really want this, and I am trying to just stick with it. It is so hard to realize that it will be a slow process... so I am trying to just stick with it! I know I can do it! I have been unhappy about my weight for too long, so now I need to finally stick to it and just follow through. I am doing good so far! It is just sticking with it that is the hard part!

Well, it is definitely time for me to cash in for the night! I am exhausted :)

Wedding Galore

Happy Tuesday!

Just wanted to share a little news about the wedding happenings of late :)

Two weekends ago I took my 2 Maid of Honors to Septembers Bride in Holland to scope out our bridesmaids dress choices and ended up choosing, what I think, is an EXCELLENT dress! It looks great on both of the girls, and Kaylin is really tall and Kristen is really short and it looked great on both girls. They also both really loved it, so it was obvious that it was the dress :)

The only dillema that I had then was colors! I stressed a TON over this! The dress came in the color green that I wanted, however they didn't have all the colors I wanted for my original accent sash colors. Originally I wanted each bridesmaid to have a different Sash color of the really bright colors like Hot pink, Orange, Bright Blue and bright purple.. those types.. however this dress company didn't really have those colors. SO, I had to change plans... which is a little hard for me when I am REALLY stuck on something, but overall I think it will work out for the Best!

My final decision on the colors ended up being a Peridot Green as the main dress color and then Turquoise as the Sash color :).

So just this past saturday I went with most of my bridesmaids to get the dresses ordered! So exciting! I just have one more who needs to get it ordered and then we are all set!

The only thing I have to decide on now is what shoe color :) I am thinking of going with Turquoise shoes as well to match the sash color and then I will have Green shoes :)

Also, we have been trying to contact different DJ's and also are scheduling a Cake Tasting with Second Floor Bakery in Holland soon :)

Other than that, life is really crazy with School. I have so many different projects and such due, on top of trying to work a 40 hours week, it doesn't leave much time left over for friends or wedding planning. Kind of stressful, but I will survive!

WEDDING update :)

I did a pretty bad job of updating you on the past events of my life from these past few months, however I am going to try to do a Better job of trying to update you on how the Glorious Wedding planning is going :)

Here is a quick recap of what I have accomplished up to this point so far...

First of all, in case you didn't know, the Big day is July 9 2011! It seems pretty far away, but at the same I know it is going to go by so fast, it already has! I have already been engaged for 7 months! :)

First of all, The wedding is going to be at Borculo CRC in Borculo MI. It is on the corner of Port Sheldon, and 96th st.

Secondly, we have our reception hall booked, and it is at the Trestle Stop in Hamilton MI.

Third, I have my Wedding Dress Ordered! :) I bought it from September's Bride in Holland, LOVE THAT PLACE!!! I would recommend going there to anyone! :)

We also have our photographer booked, Mindy Leigh Photography. She also was the photographer for my friend's kristen and joe, and I am very excited to have her as my photographer as well! Actually, just Wednesday night we had our Engagement pictures! I am really excited about them!

Those are the main things that I have planned already. Right now I am on the hunt for a Good DJ, I am looking at Complete Music, DJpushPlay, and also Dance Track Dj's. :)

Other things I am starting to look into are Cake places, and Floral places.

I think everything is on track.

After taking a couple months off from my own wedding to participate in my friend's weddings, I am excited to get back into Planning my own!

October

This month, on the First of October Friends of mine got Married! They are from the chicagoish area.. and the Groom's family, and Kris' family have been friends for close to 40 years! The last weekend on September Kris and I drove down to Chicago for the Bachelor and bachlorette party, and then the following Wednesday we went back down to be a part of the Rehearsal Dinner Wednesday night, and then the Wedding on Friday Oct 1! I had the honor of singing 2 songs during the Ceremony and Kris was a Groomsmen! Here are just a couple pictures from the wedding!

This was the last wedding Kris & I were a part of for the rest of the year, so now it is time to get ready for our wedding! It is just less than 9 Months away! Time is flying by! :)

Also, this month I have gone to the West Michigan Bridal Affair at the Grand Rapids Museum, one of my Maid of Honors bought me tickets :) It was so fun!
Just this past weekend, Kris and I and our friends Joe and Kristen had a fun time visiting Cranes Orchard! (Pictures to come)

Now, I know I did a HORRIBLE job of updating on my life events of this past summer and recent weeks of weddings, but from now I am hoping to be much better at keeping up on my blog :)
For now, I need to go study for my Exam I have in my Class tonight! Chapters 1-6... hopefully I do ok :)

Continued

I would like to continue from my previous post and try to catch people up on the happenings of my life from this past summer. Like I said earlier, I also turned 21 this summer on June 26! on my birthday, my friend Kaylin who I also work with, decorated my Cubicle! And poured Paper shreddings on me!

My birthday was actually on a Saturday, so on Saturday I had a big party with all my friends. It was also my friend Leah's 21st birthday on the exact same day, so we had a joint party! It was Beach themed! :) very fun!

In AUGUST Kris and I participated in our friends Matt & Tracee's wedding on Aug 21, 2010! Kris was a Groomsmen and I was an assistant, I helped do the flower girls hair, helped set anything up I could, and passed out Rose Petals at the end of the ceremony. :)

SEPTEMBER - My Best Friends Got Married on Sept 17, 2010! I had to joy and honor of being the Maid of Honor, and Kris was the Best Man! It was so fun! I spent a lot of time with this wedding though, My Mom and I basically set up to whole front of the church, we made candle holders, the chair Bows, helped design the Banners on the walls, and designed how the church would look. We also spent a lot of time at the church setting everything up that whole week of the wedding. It was totally worth it though!

Possibly the Worst Blogger Ever.

Well,
I think it is Safe to say I am the worst Blogger Ever. I have slacked off completely in posting anything... and I have done so much this past summer!
First of all, I was involved in multiple weddings, which was amazing.
First of all I was a bridesmaid in my good Friend Amanda's wedding





Amanda & Jon got Married on June 18, 2010 and it was a fantastic day! The Ceremony was at Kuyper College, and the reception was at the Bluff on 28th st! So much fun!
Just a mere week after that wedding, I turned 21! (more posts to follow)

Engagement

I'm Engaged!!!! Sorry it this post has been a long time coming... the Proposal actually happened over a month ago on March 17, 2010! Just thought I would share a few pictures from the exciting day! We were lucky enough to have our Best Friends there to celebrate in the moment, and to snap a few pictures! I am excited to be planning a Wedding!
